PROJECTS

CEC SRTAT Synopsis

Project Overview: This project focused on automating the processing of high-volume Excel data through an attended UiPath robot. The solution involved reading data from large Excel files, executing complex SQL stored procedures for data massaging and validation, and finally generating structured output reports in Excel format. The process was built to streamline manual data handling and increase operational efficiency.

My Role: As the RPA Developer, I was responsible for designing and developing the attended UiPath robot that orchestrated the full data workflow. I also collaborated with a senior SQL expert to develop and fine-tune SQL stored procedures for backend processing.

Cheque Processing System

Project Overview: This project aimed to automate the cheque data entry process, starting from image submission through a mobile app to final data entry into a backend system. The system leveraged OCR technology for data extraction and UiPath for automation, ensuring faster processing, improved accuracy, and reduced manual effort.

My Role: I was responsible for providing API Details that integrate backend and the mobile app and the OCR engine, training the OCR model for high-accuracy data extraction, and developing a UiPath unattended robot to automate data entry into the core system.

Credit Report Generation

In this project, I developed a complete automation solution using WinAutomation to streamline the generation of credit reports for a client using a legacy Windows-based application. The process was designed to handle both individual requests received via email and bulk requests fetched from a SQL database. Depending on the input source, the bot would collect the required details, validate the data, and input it into the credit report generation system.

One of the key challenges in this project was the nature of the application itself. The client’s software was built on an outdated framework, which meant traditional selectors were not accessible for automation. This limitation made UI interaction extremely difficult through conventional means. After analyzing the situation, I recommended using image-based automation, allowing the bot to interact with visual elements on the screen instead of relying on UI selectors. The client agreed, and I implemented a reliable, image-driven solution that could accurately navigate and input data into the system.

Once the data was entered and validated, the bot would trigger the generation of the credit report. The resulting document was saved to a shared network location with a clear naming convention. In the case of email-based requests, the bot would then reply to the original email with a direct link to the generated report, ensuring a seamless end-to-end experience for the requester.

Due to the success of the solution and the increase in daily volume, the bot — initially deployed on a single machine — was later scaled to run on two systems to handle larger workloads efficiently. To this day, the automation continues to run smoothly in production with high reliability, demonstrating the long-term value of a well-designed image-based automation strategy, even in the context of legacy systems.

Currency Exchange Rates Maintained in SAP

In this project, I automated the daily process of updating currency exchange rates in SAP. The workflow began with downloading rate details from a designated website, which were then formatted into a structured Excel template based on client requirements.

Once the data was prepared, the bot logged into SAP, navigated to the appropriate transaction, and entered the exchange rates with accuracy checks in place. This automation replaced a time-consuming manual task, significantly reducing processing time and eliminating data entry errors.

The solution ensured timely, reliable updates to exchange rates and improved overall efficiency for the finance team.

MTF Reporting

This project focused on automating key data adjustments required for MTF (Margin Trading Facility) reporting. The process involved modifying specific fields in a dataset, such as replacing sensitive PAN numbers with dummy values, changing the series from ‘BE’ to ‘EQ’, and updating script symbols based on predefined mappings.

I developed an automation that handled these transformations accurately, ensuring the final data aligned with compliance and reporting standards. The processed output was then used for generating MTF reports, significantly reducing manual intervention, improving data consistency, and ensuring timely submission.

Unique Client Code

This project involved automating the generation and submission of Unique Client Code (UCC) files for NSE and BSE across multiple segments including Currency, Equity, Derivatives, and Mutual Funds. The process began with generating the UCC files through a Windows-based application, which required automated interaction to complete the file creation.

Once generated, the files were uploaded to the respective NSE and BSE web portals, segment by segment. The automation also handled the downloading of acknowledgments or confirmation files from the portals. Throughout the process, all log files generated during file creation, uploading, and downloading were captured and saved systematically for auditing and reference.

The solution reduced manual intervention, ensured timely and accurate submissions, and maintained a complete record of each step in the reporting workflow.

Add Client

This project focused on automating the process of adding client information into the IPO Admin system using data received from two sources: Precision system and DPC emails. The automation first captured and entered the Precision data into IPO Admin, then cross-checked it with client records received over email from DPC.

After the initial data entry, the bot downloaded the PAN report and validated the records to ensure consistency. Any mismatched or missing entries — where client records from DPC were not received — were automatically compiled and sent back to the bank via email for follow-up.

Order to Cash

This project focused on automating the Order to Cash (O2C) process within SAP, specifically targeting the creation of billing documents for materials along with their corresponding quantities and serial numbers. The process involved navigating through multiple SAP transaction codes (T-Codes) to complete the end-to-end workflow.

The automation was designed to handle each step with precision — entering material details, selecting the correct quantity, mapping serial numbers, and generating billing entries. By integrating these actions across various T-Codes, the bot ensured consistency and accuracy in billing, while significantly reducing manual intervention and processing time.

This solution helped streamline the O2C cycle, minimized the risk of human error, and ensured timely generation of billing documents within the SAP environment.

AMC Proposal Creation

This project involved automating the creation of AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) proposals within the SAP system. The process required generating accurate quotations based on input details such as contract terms, required services, and material information.

The automation was designed to navigate SAP, input the necessary data, and create formal quotations as per the client’s business rules. It ensured that all relevant material codes and pricing details were correctly mapped to generate accurate and consistent proposals.

This solution streamlined the quotation process, reduced turnaround time, and minimized manual errors, contributing to faster and more reliable AMC deal closures.
